Native Plants and Prairies Day

April 30, 2016 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm

The North Texas Master Naturalists (NTMN) are again hosting Their 4th Annual FREE family event and it will be more fun than ever!  This year they will have Miko the bison make a live appearance with his professional Cowboy Rodeo cowgirl, 3 food trucks, the Aztec Dancers, and the popular folk music duo the Ackermans.

There will be over 30 demonstration and information outreach booths, 30 minute wildflower and other walks on the prairie, and a series of speakers giving short talks/lectures of 30 minutes each.

Exhibitors will include Roger “Snake Man” Sanderson with his reptile friends, raptors, and much more. In addition there will be a raffle with gifts provided by our 13+ sponsors.

Please join us as we celebrate Texas flora and fauna, and the use of native plants in home landscapes as disease and drought-resistant alternatives to non-native species.
